Keymer and Hassocks

Just minutes from the cottages are both the local 16th century pub, The Greyhound, and the local parish church of St Cosmas and St Damian, founded in Saxon times, and rebuilt in 1866.

An easy ten minute walk takes you to the centre of Hassocks, a bustling village centre with a public park, a large selection of shops, cafes, pubs, post office and train station.

Butcher's Wood is a woodland within the village close to the train station, owned by the Woodland Trust and fully open to the public.

It is noted for its stunning carpets of Bluebells in April and May.

A village market is held on the fourth Saturday of every month in the centre of the village.
